FAQs
Q: What is somatic trauma release and how does it work?
A: The word somatic means relating to the physical body, as distinct from the mind, soul, or psyche. It comes from the Greek word soma, which translates directly to "body." Thus, somatic trauma release refers to releasing traumatic energy and memories stored in the nervous system throughout the body. Every practitioner has their own method(s) for facilitating this experience. This is my method, The Nazra Method.
Q: What is The Nazra Method?
A: The Nazra Method is my signature, trauma-informed healing experience is a 3-Phase holistic healing process: intuitive bodywork with emotional trauma release. Additionally, this modality includes Sacred Energy Healing (intuitive energy healing, not Reiki) and coaching with embodied integration. This immersive session weaves breathwork, meditation, intention setting, to create space for deep healing and nervous system reset.
Q: Who are these treatment plans for? What types of clients do you work with?
A: The Holistic Bodywork & Integration Coaching protocols are for individuals, couples, and pairs looking for a transformative healing experience that they can't just talk their way out of. People come to me when they are dealing with a variety of mental, emotional, and physical issues. I work with clients dealing with treatment resistant depression, anxiety, sleep issues, CPTSD, relationship issues, mental and emotional abuse, sexual assault, difficult breakups, PMDD, female wellness issues, and more.
Q: Where can I learn more about this protocol for couples and pairs?
A: If you'd like to learn more about couples/pairs treatment protocols, visit the separate FAQs page.
Q: How often should I come for optimal results?
A: For the deepest results, I recommend newcomers starting with a series of at least 6 sessions. This allows the body and nervous system to fully repair and integrate so that your future sessions are more maintenance focused.
If you are someone who has done a lot of deep personal development work with a professional healer or mental health professional in the past, you may benefit from fewer sessions. For example, if you fell off of your routine for a while due to slipping back into hold habits or a traumatic event, you may benefit from the 4-session soft somatic reset to get you back on track.
Consistency is key. Scheduling weekly or biweekly is advised before doing one-offs (aka aftercare for maintenance). You are not purchasing a package of one-off treatments. You are purchasing a cohesive treatment protocol scheduled in advance broken up into segments.
Q: What might I feel during and after?
A: Clients often experience deep relaxation, emotional release (sometimes crying, laughing, shivers, shaking, intense memories) clarity, and a renewed sense of lightness. You may also notice subtle shifts in mood, habits, or physical comfort in the days that follow.
For those with a lot of stuck traumas who tend to lean towards being more avoidant and suppress their emotions a lot, your emotional releases may happen more after sessions instead of just during. Every person's experience is unique to them. No two sessions are exactly the same.
Each session is adjusted towards the receptivity of your nervous system on your days of treatment that meet the long-term goals that you have set for yourself.

Q: How long is each session and how would you describe each of the signature services?
A: Sessions are not exactly timed for The Nazra Method series. They can run anywhere from 2-3 hours. While no two sessions are exactly the same, they still consist of 3 phases.
Q: Why do you say “intuitive” touch?
A: Intuitive touch means I work with what your body, breath, and energy communicate in the moment — responding to both tension you may be aware of and areas of stored emotion or energetic blockages you may not consciously notice. It allows the session to be personalized beyond what verbal conversation can uncover.
Q: Why choose mobile healing?
A: Mobile healing allows you to remain in your safe, familiar environment, which supports deeper relaxation and integration. It also keeps you in your parasympathetic nervous system longer — rather than being thrust back into the noise, traffic, and overstimulation of the “concrete jungle” immediately after your session. This can be counterintuitive to the healing process, so having me come to you protects and extends the benefits.
Q: What do clients report experiencing?
A: Many describe feeling lighter, calmer, more emotionally clear, and physically relaxed. Some experience a profound emotional release, while others notice gradual shifts in how they respond to life.
Q: How often should I do this?
A: Consistency is key in the early stages — I recommend starting with the 6 sessions weekly for repair, then moving to biweekly or monthly for maintenance. For those just needing a half-day reset to get back into the swing of things, you can look at the half-day reset option.
The 4-sessions weekly plan is only recommended for people who lost their way and need minimal guidance to get back on track for resuming their healthy lifestyle routine. This is also known as the soft somatic reset.
Q: How is your form of integration life coaching different from regular talk therapy?
A: My method of integration life coaching uses the body as your client intake form to see where it is your energy and physical body store trauma. This is a more holistic approach. Because we know that posture and movement
has a lot to do with our emotional state, we start to look at different ways you can learn to retrain your body to release trauma in those areas to help the body heal.
With traditional therapy, sometimes people hit a "talk therapy wall" where reflection and revelation become infobesity or just plain rumination. This integration of modalities to help remedy that issue.
Q: Is this a replacement for traditional medical or therapy services?
A: No. The Nazra Method is a complementary healing modality, not a substitute for licensed medical, psychological, or psychiatric care.
