Q: What types of personal injury cases do you accept?

A. We accept personal injury cases involving motor vehicle accidents using MedPay (Medical Payments) or PIP (Personal Injury Protection) coverage through the client’s auto insurance policy, and Pre-Authorized Workers' Comp.

Q:  Do I need a prescription (physician referral) for a personal injury claim?

A: Yes. In most states, auto insurance will only reimburse massage therapy if a medical doctor (MD), chiropractor (DC), or doctor of osteopathy (DO) writes a prescription containing specific ICD-10 diagnosis codes and a defined frequency (e.g., 2x/week for 6 weeks).

Q: Will in need to provide additional information for a personal injury auto claim?

A: Yes, you must provide the following over the phone:

  • Date of Injury (DOI) & Claim Number

  • Adjuster Contact Info: Name, direct phone number

  • Mailing address of the auto claim adjuster handling the case

Q: How do I qualify for in-home massage on a personal injury auto claim?

A:  Auto insurers will question why a client needs in-home care instead of visiting a clinic. The doctor's prescription must specifically note that the client is homebound, unable to drive due to severe injury/medication, or requiring in-home care.

When running your Eligibility & Benefits check, we will confirm whether your PIP policy covers "Place of Service: 12"

(Home) versus "Place of Service: 11" (Office).

Q:  Do I need a pre-authorization for a Workers' Comp claim?

A. Yes. You must provide an official written authorization letter from the Workers' Comp adjuster approving a specific number of sessions (e.g., "12 sessions of massage therapy, CPT 97124, 2x per week").

Q: Do I need to provide any additional items for a Workers' Comp claim to accompany the pre-authorization letter?

A: Yes, you must provide the following over the phone.

  • Claim Number & Date of Injury (DOI)

  • Employer Name

  • Workers' Comp Insurance Carrier & Adjuster Contact

  • Prescribing Doctor's NPI & ICD-10 Diagnosis Codes

Q: How can I get you to travel to my home for for a workers' comp case?

A: In order to get travel-fees covered in your treatments, your prescription or pre-authorization from the doctor/adjuster must explicitly state "In-Home Medical Massage."

Q: How could I pay out of pocket for my travel fees separately for in-home visits?

A: You would be required to sign a Mobile Service Agreement stating: "Insurance covers in-office medical care. An optional, non-covered out-of-pocket travel/convenience fee of $X is paid directly by me (the client) to the practitioner per visit.

I would be legally required to submit this letter for each of your invoices.

Q: How soon can I begin treatments?

A: Strict pre-approval is required. You cannot be treated until the adjuster explicitly approves your treatment plan.

Q: Do you accept legal/medical/attorney liens?

A: No, we do not take on lien cases, lawsuits, legal settlements, or any case that could include an LOP (Letter of Protection).

Q: Do you allow "Hybrid Payment" or Deposit Model payment options?

A: No, we do not take on cases of this nature either.
